When things are great, it's easy to not be concerned. Think of the saying, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth". But when things don't go well, panic is the common reaction. What if instead of waiting for things to go wrong and panicking, we instead made smart choices now? We can prepare for the future and that way, when it arrives we aren't so surprised. This gives a framework for thinking about this issue more clearly.
